Growth of Dagestan's economic exchanges with Amirabad Port
“With regard to the good capacities available in Bandar-e-Amr Abad, we will move towards developing economic relations.” Said Amin Aliev, Representative of the Republic of Dagestan in Iran.

PMO News Portal - while visiting the province of Mazandaran and the capacities and capabilities of Amirabad Port, Representative of the Republic of Dagestan in Iran stated that so far, bilateral economic relations between the two regions of Dagestan and Mazandaran have been negligible, but with utilizing the capacities of the Makhachkala and Amir Abad ports, economic growth could take place in the region.

He added: Increasing transit volume and sea traffic due to this capacity between the two ports can be very good in commercial relations, as compared to other countries near the Caspian Sea. The port of Amirabad is a unique port on the Caspian Sea which has a nominal capacity of 7.5 million tons of goods, a RORO wharf and high sea and logistics capacity which have added to its economic attractiveness.

Dagestan, officially the Republic of Dagestan, is a federal subject (a republic) of Russia, located in the North Caucasus region. Its capital and largest city is Makhachkala, centrally located on the Caspian Sea coast.
