Exports and imports in Noshahr and Fereydunkenar ports have increased by 35 percent this year compared to the same period last year, said the Director General of Ports and Maritime of Mazandaran Province.
PMO News Portal – Regarding the latest cargo handling in
Mazandaran ports, Mohammadtaghi Anzanpour stated that according to the reports,
ports of Noshahr and Fereydunkenar were able to record 35% increase in exports
in this year.
On the subject of investment in the ports of the province, the
Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Mazandaran province said: Silos development in the port of Noshahr has
been targeted, which will increase the capacity of silos from 30 thousand to 70
thousand tons. In this context, the plan for building oil reservoirs with the
investment of private sector with a capacity of 11 thousand tons has started. Of
this new capacity, 5,000 tons will be exploited within next month.
He continued: In the port of Noshahr, the construction of a
drying plant is on the agenda. In the port of Fereydunknar, due to the fact
that it is a private port, most investments are made under the 40-year contracts.
At Fereydunkenar Port, a 15-hectare site is available to the General
Directorate of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Mazandaran province,
which the negotiation for the construction of a maritime and water sports site
