During the last 4 months, Container unloading and loading operations at Amirabad port had 2 times growth compared to the same period last year.
PMO News Portal – Siavash Rezvani, Director of Ports and
Maritime and Special Economic Zone of Amirabad stated that Amirabad Port is
considered the main hub for transit of grains in North of Iran. In this regard,
the weight of containerized cargoes transported in the last 4 months has
increased by 196% compared to the same period last year.
Amirabad port director noted that one of the strategic plans
of the port is to increase the diversification and transit of goods to the
Caspian Sea and CIS countries and one of the distinguished features of
container shipments this year has been the variety of its goods, such as
consumer goods and construction goods.
