The loading of staple goods and livestock into warehouses of the Imam Port Complex has increased by 4%, said the Deputy of Port and Economic Affairs of Khuzestan Ports and Maritime Administration.
PMO News Portal - Referring to the cooperation of related offices
in the supply chain to accelerate the loading of staple goods from the port to
the mainland, Iraj Modiri stated that 5 million and 500,000 tons of staple goods
has been loaded and shipped to the warehouses of this large port which shows a 27%
increase compared to the same period last year.
He also pointed to the 86% increase in the number of vessels
calling this large port complex, referring to the unloading of 147 vessels
carrying all kinds of goods, including staple goods, until mid-July this year.
Dumped commodities are up 6% year-over-year.
Modiri listed wheat, maize, barley, oilseed, soybean meal,
sugar, rice and edible oil as staple goods unloaded at the country's major
commercial port in the third quarter of this year.
