“Iranian ports are fully prepared to attract foreign investors”, said the managing director of PMO in a meeting with senior managers of Ningbo-Zhoushan port, the world's fourth-largest port.

PMO News Portal - The meeting was in line with the excellent performance of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port during the current and last year, Ningbo-Zhoushan is China's third-largest port and the world's fourth-largest port. During the meeting, senior executives of Ningbo Port presented a comprehensive report on the capabilities, performance, electronic operation management system and management structure of the port.

Also, Mohammad Rastad, managing director of the Ports and Maritime Organization, praised the performance and potential of this port and expressed Ports and maritime organization of Iran’s interest in signing a sister ports agreement between the port of Shahid Rajaee and the port of Ningbo.

He also pointed to the capabilities and capabilities of the country's ports and stated that Iranian ports are fully prepared to attract foreign investment.

The Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan is a Chinese port that is the busiest in the world in terms of cargo tonnage. It handled 888.96 million tons cargoes in 2015. The port is located in Ningbo and Zhoushan, on the coast of the East China Sea, in Zhejiang province south of Hangzhou Bay, across which it faces Jiaxing and Shanghai.

This port is a modern multi-purpose deep water port, consisting of inland, estuary, and coastal harbors.There are a total of 191 berths including 39 deep water berths with 10,000 and more tonnage.

The larger ports include a 250,000 tonnage crude oil terminal and a 200,000+ tonnage ore loading berth.[8] There is also a purpose-built terminal for 6th generation container vessels and a 50,000 tonnage berth dedicated for liquid chemical products
