“Iran was elected as the main coordinator of Caspian tourism development”, said the Director General of the National Tourism Cooperation Office of Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism Organization
PMO News Portal - Leila Ajdari, referring to the meeting of
the Ministry of Tourism of the Caspian littoral states, added that the organizing
marine tourism tours among the Caspian littoral states was one of the most
important topics discussed at the meeting.
She also cited the establishment of the Office for Tourism
Cooperation between the Caspian littoral States as another endorsement of the Summit,
and acknowledged that the main reason for establishment of this office is to
provide visa facilities for tourist travel.
She continued: Agreements and consultations on the
development of infrastructure related to marine tourism and water sports were
also discussed at this meeting. An agreement has been signed between the
Caspian littoral States on passenger transport. Accordingly, appropriate
conditions will be provided for cooperation between shipping companies and
travel agencies in five countries to develop tourism relations.
At the end of the meeting, Iran was elected as the main
coordinator of Caspian tourism development.
