Mohammad Rastad: With the joint efforts of the Islamic Republic Railways in the ports, the share of rail transport in the country's ports, especially in the ports of Shahid Rajaei and Imam Khomeini, has increased.
PMO News Portal - In a press conference, Mohammad Rastad
announced the investment of the private sector for the construction of a
container export terminal for the storage of container cargos in Shahid Rajaei
port and stated that With the joint efforts of the Islamic Republic Railways in
the ports, the share of rail transport in the country's ports, especially in
the ports of Shahid Rajaei and Imam Khomeini, has increased.
The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development expressed
that currently an average of 120 wagons of staples are being transported by
rail and added that a railway project in the port of Amirabad in the north of
the country is being completed. This will be a step toward the multi modal
transportation plan in ports of the country.
Rastad pointed to the negative effects of the Corona virus
spread on global trade, as well as the unloading and loading process of goods
in ports, including Iranian ports and its impact on the organization’s revenues
and the process of investing in ports and highlighted that port development
plans and does not stop. Despite the conditions caused by the spread of corona
